Thanksgiving

Tomorrow I cook for Thanksgiving. It is the first Thanksgiving my mom has cooked since I can remember–she says 15 years. I am making my favorite parts, and she is making the rest. I’m making an apple and pear tart, whipped sweet potatoes with tarragon and fennel, and Sausage-Persimmon stuffing. I’ll take pictures and post the recipes tomorrow.

I am in the process of rising some hoska for tomorrow. Creme brulee is in the oven. The egg whites are waiting to be made in to meringue cookies.
I made my sweet potato bisque ahead of time, too. Tomorrow, I make creamy mustard greens with shallots and roast the turkey to be served with a muscat and fruit gravy.
This is the first turkey I’ve ever made.
